Nineteen continues its traversal of the suites by the masters of the jazz orchestra, Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. In 2013 we performed their adaptation of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. This evening's program features their original Far East Suite, inspired by the Ellington band's tours of the middle and far east in the 1960s.
